This book is a new twist on one of the most fun kinds of logic challenges. Fill in the missing puzzle letters
so that every row, column, and section (regardless of its shape) has all the letters from the given word--a word
that relates in some way to the specific aspect of history being presented in that puzzle.
In addition to the wordoku puzzles, the book includes interesting facts about 92 different topics from United
States history, plus a "Dig Deeper" research question for each one.
If you need for the puzzles to be easier for your students, simply go to the answer key and select one or more
letters to add back into the puzzle.
For grades 4 and up.
[Note for central Kentuckians: Morris Book Shop and Joseph-Beth carry this book.]
Author's note: I learned so many amazing things about our country while researching this book. My
co-author for it was Dr. Mary Ann Chamberlain, a very talented gifted education teacher who
has taught history for many years and led numerous workshops on the subject.
Dedication:
“This book is dedicated to our wonderful families, to God, and to the many historians who have researched our
nation’s past.”
